Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Wearton ("we", "our", or "us") is a personal stylist: it finds your colours from a selfie, keeps your closet and suggests what to wear. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Wearton mobile app, the web app at my.wearton.app and the Wearton Chrome extension (together, the "App"), how we use it, and your rights regarding that information. By using Wearton, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Account. Your email address, which you use to sign in with a one-time code. We keep a record of each device that is signed in to your account; the sign-in token itself is stored only as a hash.

Selfies and your colours. When you ask for a colour analysis, the photo is resized on your device and sent to our server. We keep each analysed selfie, with the result of the analysis, in private storage linked to your account. We use them to give you your result and to test and improve the analysis. Your result (season, undertone, palette) is saved to your account.

Your closet. Photos and details of the items you add (category, colour, name, material, price, size), the outfits you save, what you wore and when, your answers to "How did you feel outside?", outfit plans and notes made by Hooky, and your profile settings (name, home city, currency, size system, profile photo).

Look checks. A photo you send to "My look" is analysed and then discarded. We do not store it. The score and notes are saved only if you log the look.

Location. If you allow it, the App reads your location only while you use it, rounds it to about 1 km on your device, and sends it to get the weather. We do not store or log your location. A home city you enter is saved to your profile.

Calendar. If you allow it, the App reads your calendar on your phone. Event titles and places leave your phone only when you ask for an outfit plan or ask Hooky about an event, and they are not stored on our servers. A plan is linked to its event by a one-way code, not by the event's text.

Hooky chats. The messages you send to Hooky go to our server and an AI model to write a reply. The chat history is kept on your device, not on our servers.

Shop imports. Screenshots, product links, order emails or a shop page you choose to import are sent to our server and an AI model to find the items. Our server downloads the product photos from the links.

Usage counts and logs. We count AI requests per account per day to apply the daily limit, and our servers keep technical logs (for example errors and request times) to keep the service working.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide the App: your colours, your closet, outfit suggestions, weather advice, plans and Hooky.
  • To sign you in and keep your account secure.
  • To test and improve the colour analysis and the App.
  • To diagnose technical issues.
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising. The App itself has no advertising or analytics trackers.

3. Third-party services

OpenRouter and AI model providers. Selfies, look-check photos, item photos, Hooky messages and import content are sent through OpenRouter to an AI model provider (currently OpenAI) to produce results. They process the data under their own terms: openrouter.ai/privacy.

remove.bg. Photos of closet items are sent to remove.bg to remove the background.

Open-Meteo. Rounded coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo to get the weather.

Cloudflare. Our servers, database, file storage and sign-in emails run on Cloudflare.

Google Analytics (this website only). The website wearton.app uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies and sends Google your browser's details, the pages you open and an approximate location from your IP address. It is not used in the mobile app, the web app at my.wearton.app or the Chrome extension. You can block it with your browser's settings or the Google Analytics opt-out add-on; see also policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not share your data with any other third party except as required by law.

4. Data retention

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete an item, an outfit or a plan at any time. When you delete your account (Profile → Delete account), we delete your profile, closet, photos, selfies and every other record of the account. Encrypted database backups are kept for up to 30 days (daily) and up to 12 months (monthly); deleted data leaves the backups when they expire.

5. Permissions

The App asks for the camera and photo library (selfies, items, looks), location while in use (weather), the calendar (read only, for plans) and notifications (reminders you set with Hooky). Each is optional, and you can turn it off at any time in your device or browser settings; the related feature then stops working.

6. Children's privacy

Wearton is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the App, please contact us and we will delete the account.

7. Your rights

You can see and change most of your data in the App, and delete your whole account there. If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California, you may also contact us to exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability or objection.

8. Security

All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using TLS. Photos are kept in private storage that is not reachable from the internet without your sign-in. Sign-in codes and tokens are stored only as hashes, and backups are encrypted.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Contact

If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy, please contact us at support@wearton.app.
